You control a small cannon at the bottom of the screen, firing colored balls upward at a cluster of descending, balloon-like Cosmo Gang enemies. The main objective is to clear each screen by matching three or more balloons of the same color, causing them to pop; if the mass of balloons reaches the bottom, it's game over. Two key mechanics define the play: you can store one ball in a reserve slot to swap with your current shot, and you must carefully aim your ricochets off the sides of the playfield to hit balloons from unexpected angles. The pacing is methodical at first but becomes frantic as the ceiling lowers, demanding quick decisions about which color groups to target next.
