Cool Spot is one of those weirdly fun mascot platformers from the '90s—you play as the 7 Up logo, of all things, bouncing around soda-themed levels like a caffeinated pinball. The controls are surprisingly tight for a game starring a red dot, and the music’s got this upbeat, almost-too-happy vibe that somehow works. You’ll hop on bottle caps, swing from straws, and dodge angry beach balls (because why not?).
It’s goofy, but the level design’s actually solid—some tricky jumps keep you on your toes, and finding all the hidden Spots feels weirdly rewarding. Also, the Japanese version has slightly different graphics, including a few extra animations that make Spot even more expressive. Not bad for a soda ad pretending to be a game.
