Ever played one of those old-school beat 'em ups where you just plow through waves of thugs with ridiculous punches? The Combatribes is exactly that—three beefy vigilantes cleaning up New York’s streets, one goon at a time. You pick between a wrestler, a brawler, or this dude with a spiked club, and honestly, the wrestler’s suplexes never get old.
It’s got that classic arcade feel—crowded alleys, random weapons lying around (baseball bats, trash cans, the usual), and bosses who look like they escaped from a ‘90s cartoon. The controls are simple, but timing your grabs and throws makes it way more satisfying than just button-mashing. Also, the two-player co-op is chaotic in the best way possible.
If you’re into games where you can chuck a guy into a neon sign and watch it explode, this one’s a solid time.
