College Slam is basically NBA Jam with college teams—same over-the-top dunks, same ridiculous commentary, but now you're playing as Michigan or Duke instead of the Bulls. It's still 2-on-2 arcade chaos, just with a fresh coat of paint and some new power-ups that make things even crazier. I remember the first time I grabbed one of those glowing orbs mid-game and suddenly my guy was shooting fireballs instead of layups.

Forty teams might sound like a lot, but honestly, you'll probably just pick your favorite school and stick with them. The AI isn't exactly strategic—expect a lot of full-court heaves and guys catching fire for no reason. It's dumb fun, but in that way where you keep saying "one more game" at 2 AM.
