Clue on SNES is basically the board game you know, but with that sweet 16-bit charm. You start off picking your detective—I always go with Miss Scarlet because, well, red—and then you're dumped into the mansion to poke around for clues. The pixel art gives it this weirdly cozy vibe, like someone turned a murder mystery into a Saturday morning cartoon.
Gameplay's simple: you roll dice to move, search rooms, and slowly piece together who did it with what weapon. The AI opponents actually put up a decent fight, which surprised me—they’ll straight-up lie to your face with false accusations. First time I played, I got steamrolled by Professor Plum bluffing his way through the whole thing.
It’s not perfect (the music loops get old fast), but if you ever wanted to play Clue without losing tiny plastic weapons under the couch, this is the way to go. Just don’t trust Colonel Mustard’s alibi.
