About Chou Mahou Tairiku Wozz
Chou Mahou Tairiku WOZZ came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995, published by Bullet-Proof Software. It was part of that wave of late SNES games that experimented with mixing genres, a time when developers were pushing the hardware in new directions before the shift to 3D consoles.
You control a young boy named Wozz, exploring a fantasy continent screen by screen. Your main goal is to recover the scattered pieces of the Triforce-like "Crests" to restore balance to the land. You use a sword for close combat and a bow for attacking enemies from a distance, switching between them as the situation demands. The game involves a lot of dungeon delving, where you solve environmental puzzles and fight bosses to progress. The pacing is methodical, and the difficulty can be unforgiving, requiring careful observation of enemy patterns. Navigating the world and slowly piecing the Crests together gives the adventure a satisfying sense of discovery.
