Okay, so Chou Aniki - Bakuretsu Rantouden is… something else. Imagine the weirdest, most over-the-top muscle-bound fever dream crammed into a 16-bit beat 'em up. You pick between these absurdly jacked dudes (and one inexplicably tiny guy) and just brawl through levels that feel like they were designed by someone who had too much caffeine.
The first time I played, I got stuck laughing at the intro—your character flexes so hard his clothes explode off. Then you’re immediately fighting giant floating babies and a dude who attacks with his own beard. The controls are clunky in that old-school way, but honestly, it adds to the charm. You’re not here for precision; you’re here to suplex a man in a leopard-print speedo.
It’s short, it’s stupid, and I love it. If you’ve ever wanted to play a game that feels like a lost episode of an anime that got canceled for being too unhinged, this is it.
