Okay, so Casper on SNES is way more fun than a licensed game about a friendly ghost has any right to be. You float around these moody, candlelit mansions, turning invisible to sneak past enemies or possess objects to solve puzzles—like, one second you're a harmless wisp, the next you're haunting a suit of armor to punch through walls. The controls take a minute to click (why does a ghost have a jump button?), but once they do, it's weirdly satisfying.
The music nails that slightly creepy but still cartoony vibe, and some levels actually get tense—like when you're dodging floating books or outrunning this one chandelier boss that comes at you like a wrecking ball. Nostalgia aside, it holds up as a solid platformer with some clever twists. Just don't expect it to be scary unless you count how hard that final carnival level is.
