Captain America and the Avengers on SNES is basically the arcade beat 'em up you remember—if you ever pumped quarters into the cabinet back in the day. It’s got that classic side-scrolling brawl feel where you pick from Cap, Iron Man, Vision, or Hawkeye and just start wrecking robots and goons. The controls are simple (punch, jump, throw), but some characters feel way better than others—Hawkeye’s arrows are fun, but good luck not getting swarmed.
It’s got that weird early ‘90s charm where the voice clips sound like they were recorded in a tin can ("AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!"), and the levels drag a little in spots. Still, smashing through waves of enemies with a buddy in co-op is dumb fun, even if the SNES version cuts some stuff from the arcade original. Not the deepest superhero game, but it’s got personality.
