I remember picking up Bust-M-Up for the Super Nintendo back in 1993. It was a Konami release, one of those many action games that filled the shelves during the 16-bit era. It didn't have the massive marketing of a flagship title, but it was a solid, straightforward game you could just pop in and play.

You control a little car, and your main goal is to drive through each stage, destroying every enemy vehicle you encounter. The core loop is simple: you move screen by screen, and you can't progress until you've cleared all the foes in your current area. Your primary weapon is a forward-firing gun, but you can also collect power-ups to temporarily upgrade your firepower or gain a speed boost. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty ramps up noticeably as enemy patterns become more aggressive and the layouts get tighter. It feels like a tense, arcade-style scramble where one mistake can cost you a life.
