Bugs Bunny in Rabbit Rampage came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Sunsoft. It was part of that wave of licensed platformers that filled the SNES library, a straightforward cartoon adventure without much pretense.
You control Bugs Bunny through a series of side scrolling levels, each one a different cartoon short come to life. Your main goal is to find the scattered pieces of a portrait of Elmer Fudd, which the mad artist has torn apart. You run, jump, and bounce on enemies; you can also pick up and throw carrots as your primary attack. The levels are linear but packed with enemies and environmental hazards, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in later stages. Playing it feels like a brisk, sometimes frantic, trip through a classic animation.
