About Bram Stoker's Dracula (beta)
Bram Stoker's Dracula came out on the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by Psygnosis. It was one of many movie tie-in games from that period, a time when the SNES library was filled with action platformers trying to capture the feel of a film.
You control Jonathan Hacker, moving screen by screen through Victorian London and Dracula's castle. Your main goal is to hunt down and defeat the Count. You use a sword for close combat and can find a cross that shoots projectiles at enemies. The game involves a lot of exploration, finding keys to unlock doors, and navigating tricky platforming sections. It moves at a deliberate pace, and the difficulty can be unforgiving, with enemies respawning quickly. Playing it feels like a methodical, sometimes frustrating, trek through a gothic world.
