Boxing Legends of the Ring on SNES is one of those games that nails the feel of old-school boxing—right down to the stiff but satisfying punches and the way your fighter stumbles back after taking a solid hit. You pick from a roster of legends (some recognizable, some not so much), and the controls are simple enough—jab, hook, dodge—but timing is everything.

The animations are surprisingly smooth for a 16-bit game, especially when you land a knockout and your opponent flops to the mat in slow motion. It’s not super deep, but there’s something weirdly addictive about chaining together combos and watching the health bar drain. Just don’t expect a sim—this is arcade-style boxing at its best.
