About Block Kuzushi
Block Kuzushi came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995, developed by Bottom Up. It was part of that late SNES period where developers were still finding new ways to use the hardware, even as newer consoles were on the horizon. You don't hear about it as often as some other titles from that year, but it had its own quiet spot in the library.
You control a paddle at the bottom of the screen, moving it left and right to bounce a ball and break all the blocks. The main goal is to clear each stage completely before you run out of balls. Its signature mechanics include power-up blocks that change your paddle's size or give you multiple balls, and stage layouts that sometimes scroll vertically, revealing new rows of blocks to destroy. The pacing is methodical; you need to aim carefully and manage the chaos when several balls are in play. It feels straightforward and satisfying when you finally clear a tricky screen.
