BlaZeon is one of those weird, early SNES shooters where you can actually steal enemy ships mid-fight—kinda like a sci-fi pokeball mechanic, except you're snatching up bio-mechanical horrors instead of cute monsters. The first few levels throw some blatant Gundam references at you (like, really obvious ones if you've seen Char's Counterattack), which is either charming or lazy depending on your mood.
It's got that janky 90s Atlus vibe where the hitboxes feel a little off and the power-up system makes no sense at first. But there's something satisfying about hijacking a beefy enemy ship and turning its own weapons against the swarm. Just don't expect it to play fair.
