Bishoujo Wrestler Retsuden: Blizzard Yuki Rannyuu!! came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1996, published by Nihon Bussan. It was part of that late SNES era where developers were still finding new niches, and this one definitely carved out its own space. You don't see many games quite like it, even now.
You control a female wrestler, Yuki, navigating through side scrolling stages. Your main goal is to reach the end of each level, but the path is blocked by various opponents you must fight. The combat is a mix of standard wrestling moves and special attacks you can unleash. You explore the stages screen by screen, sometimes dealing with environmental hazards or finding power ups to help you. The pacing is fairly quick, and the difficulty can spike with certain enemy encounters. It feels like a straightforward brawler with a unique, sports themed twist.
