Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon Super S - Zenin Sanka!! Shuyaku Soudatsusen (japan) Game
📅 1996

Okay, so this is the second Sailor Moon puzzle game on the SNES—basically, you're solving match-three style puzzles with all the Sailor Scouts. It's got that classic 90s anime look, so expect big sparkly attacks and way too much pink. The puzzles start simple, but some later stages actually get kinda tricky when you're trying to line up combos under time pressure.
What's fun is that each character has their own special ability—Mars burns whole rows, Jupiter zaps random tiles—so figuring out who works best for each puzzle is half the battle. (I kept defaulting to Moon at first, but turns out Mercury's area-clearing move is way better for tight spots.) The music's pure nostalgia too, all bubbly synth and dramatic battle themes.
It's definitely aimed at fans—if you don't care about Usagi dramatically posing after clearing a level, it might not hook you. But if you grew up with the anime, it's a solid little time-waster.
