So, this is the SNES game based on the Beauty and the Beast movie—y’know, the Disney one. It’s a side-scroller where you play as Beast (or Belle in some levels), smashing candlesticks and dodging Gaston’s goons. The sprites actually look pretty decent for a licensed game, though the controls feel a little stiff at first.
You start off in the Beast’s castle, jumping over gaps and hitting enemies with… whatever the Beast uses, claws I guess? There’s this weird mix of platforming and light puzzle-solving, like pushing furniture around. Not gonna lie, some of the jumps are frustrating, but the music’s solid—straight from the movie soundtrack.
Honestly, it’s one of those licensed games that’s not amazing, but if you’re a fan of the movie, it’s got charm.
