Bean World Crisis was a game I first heard about through old Nintendo magazines, but it never actually came out for the Super Nintendo. It was one of those titles that just stayed in development, so you won't find it in any official SNES library. I'm not sure who was supposed to publish it, but it was clearly meant to be part of that early 90s wave of action platformers that filled the system's catalog.

You control a small, round character through a series of side scrolling levels, jumping between platforms and avoiding enemies. The main goal is to rescue your friends who have been captured, which involves navigating through different themed worlds. A couple of its standout mechanics were the ability to roll into a ball for a speed boost and a unique seed planting system that could grow temporary platforms. The game had a reputation for being quite difficult, with precise jumps and enemy patterns that required quick reactions. Playing it feels like a constant, fast paced scramble where every successful landing is a small victory.
