About Battle Pinball (japan)
Battle Pinball came out in 1995 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by KAZe. It was part of that wave of late SNES releases that tried new things with familiar concepts, in this case blending pinball with an adventure game structure.
You control a small character on a series of pinball tables, using the flippers to launch yourself into different areas. The main goal is to explore these multi screen stages, hitting targets and defeating enemies to progress. Signature mechanics include navigating through interconnected table sections, which often require precise shots to access new rooms, and engaging in simple combat where you bounce into enemies to defeat them. The pacing is deliberate, demanding careful aim over frantic action, and the difficulty can be unforgiving if your shots go wide. It feels like a methodical puzzle box where every successful ricochet opens up another piece of the world.
