About Battle Jockey (japan)
Battle Jockey came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Sun L. It was part of that wave of Japanese releases that never made it to other regions, a curious title for players looking for something different on the system. You don't see many games like it, even from that era.
You control a jockey on a horse, but the goal isn't just to win a race. You have to fight other riders and their mounts directly on the track, using a lance to knock them over or slow them down. The screen scrolls automatically, and you manage your position while timing your attacks carefully. It's a fast game, and the difficulty comes from balancing aggression with avoiding obstacles and other jockeys. The whole experience feels like a chaotic, high-speed brawl disguised as a sport.
