BS Super Volley II is one of those weird, Japan-only SNES volleyball games that somehow nails the chaotic energy of the sport. You pick a team—I went with the default at first, no idea if they were good—and jump straight into fast-paced matches where the ball flies way too fast for how pixelated everyone is.
It’s not just about spiking; you’ve got to time blocks, set up passes, and somehow not faceplant when diving for the ball. The AI isn’t messing around either—miss a serve, and they’ll punish you with a brutal counterattack. The stages have this old-school tournament vibe, like you’re grinding through some ’90s sports anime. Not the deepest game, but way more fun than it has any right to be.
