BASS Masters Classic - Pro Edition is one of those old-school fishing games that somehow makes reeling in pixelated bass way more exciting than it sounds. You pick your gear, find a decent spot by the lake, and just... wait. But when that bite finally comes, it's all about timing—hit the button too early or too late, and that trophy fish is gone.
The SNES version actually holds up pretty well, with decent water effects (for the time) and a surprising amount of strategy. Do you go for the big lures and risk scaring off smaller fish, or play it safe? I wasted way too many in-game hours figuring that out.
It's definitely a slow burn compared to most SNES titles, but there's something weirdly satisfying about finally landing a record catch after ten failed attempts. Just don't expect any dramatic boat chases or fishing rod duels.
