About B.o.b. (europe)
B.O.B. came out for the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by Gray Matter and published by Electronic Arts. It was part of that wave of early 90s action platformers that tried to mix shooting with exploration, a familiar sight on the system.
You control B.O.B., a lanky robot, navigating a series of side-scrolling levels. Your main goal is to find the scattered pieces of your wrecked spaceship to get back home. You move from screen to screen, blasting a variety of alien creatures with your arm cannon. The game mixes run-and-gun action with light puzzle solving, often requiring you to find specific keys or items to unlock new areas. It has a reputation for being quite difficult, with tricky enemy placements and some precise platforming sections. The whole experience feels like a frantic, slightly chaotic scramble through an alien world.
