Arkanoid: Doh It Again came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1997, published by Taito. It arrived late in the SNES lifecycle, a time when many developers were squeezing the last bits of power from the hardware for arcade-style experiences.

You control a small paddle, the Vaus, moving it left and right along the bottom of the screen to deflect a single ball. Your goal is to clear each stage by destroying all the colored bricks arrayed above you. The game introduces variety through power-ups that drop from certain bricks; you can catch these to temporarily extend your paddle's length, equip it to fire lasers at the blocks, or split the ball into multiple projectiles. Boss rounds break the standard formula, pitting you against large enemy ships that fire projectiles, forcing you to juggle evasion with precise ball strikes. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty escalates steadily as stage layouts become more complex and enemy patterns more aggressive. It feels like a tense, fast-paced puzzle where every ricochet matters.
