Ardy Lightfoot (japan) (beta) Game

Ardy Lightfoot is one of those weird, forgotten SNES platformers that somehow slipped under the radar. You play as this fox dude (who honestly looks more like a cat) jumping through colorful, slightly janky levels with that early '90s charm. The controls take a second to get used to—Ardy slides a bit when he stops, like he's on ice—but once it clicks, bouncing off enemies and grabbing gems feels oddly satisfying.
It’s got that classic "run right, hit stuff, find secrets" vibe, but with some oddball power-ups like a boomerang and... a pogo stick? Yeah, it’s weird. The music’s catchy in that repetitive SNES way, and the sprite work is surprisingly detailed for a game nobody talks about. Not gonna lie, some of the later levels get brutal with the platforming, but there’s something weirdly addictive about it. If you dig obscure retro stuff, this one’s a neat little time capsule.
