About Arcana Easy Type
Arcana Easy Type came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed by HAL Laboratory. It was a time when developers were exploring how to bring the dungeon crawling experience from computers to the console, and this game was part of that wave on the SNES.
You control a party of adventurers, moving them through a first person view of grid based dungeons. Your main goal is to explore these multi level labyrinths, fighting monsters in turn based battles and gathering the cards, or Arcana, that hold the key to the story. The combat uses a card based system where you select actions for your party members, and you manage your resources carefully as you delve deeper. The game moves at a deliberate pace, and its simplified mechanics compared to other RPGs of the era make it more accessible.
