Another World on SNES is one of those games that sticks with you—not just because of its moody, cinematic style, but because it doesn’t hold your hand. You start off as a scientist getting sucked into some alien dimension, and within minutes, you’re dodging weird creatures and figuring out how to survive. The animation is surprisingly fluid for a 16-bit game, and the atmosphere? Super eerie.
It’s tough, though. Like, "die a dozen times before you figure out the right timing" tough. But there’s something satisfying about finally nailing a sequence after failing it over and over. The puzzles are clever without being obnoxious, and the whole thing feels like playing through an old-school sci-fi flick. If you’re into retro games with actual weight to them, this one’s a gem.
