Remember the Animaniacs? Yakko, Wakko, and Dot are back in this SNES platformer that’s as chaotic as the show. You’ll bounce between stages—some are straightforward run-and-jump, others throw weird gimmicks at you like a haunted house where Dot turns into a bat. The controls take a minute to get used to (Wakko’s hammer swing feels oddly heavy at first), but once it clicks, you’re sliding down hallways on serving trays and dodging Ralph the Guard’s slow-motion chases.
The humor’s totally on-brand—expect random fourth-wall breaks and that one level where you’re just stacking Warner Bros. studio props for no reason. The music’s catchy, though the Pinky and the Brain boss theme will absolutely get stuck in your head. It’s not the hardest platformer out there, but the variety keeps it from feeling repetitive. If you grew up with the show, half the fun is spotting the deep-cut references.
Definitely one of those "turn off your brain and enjoy the nonsense" kind of games. Just don’t blame me when you start humming Yakko’s World after the credits roll.
