Play An American Tale - Fievel Goes West Online

I remember playing An American Tail: Fievel Goes West on the Super Nintendo back in 1994. It was developed by Hudson Soft, and it fit right in with the other licensed platformers of that era. You don't see many games based on that particular animated sequel, so it always felt like a bit of a specific find on the SNES.

You control Fievel Mousekewitz, a small mouse trying to rescue his family and friends from the villainous Cat R. Waul. The game is a side-scrolling platformer where you move screen by screen, navigating through canyons, a saloon, and a moving train. Your main tools are a slingshot to pop enemy cats and a lasso to swing across gaps. You collect coins and special items like harmonicas for extra lives, and you have to find keys to unlock certain doors. The pacing is fairly quick, but some jumps require precise timing, and the enemy placement can make certain screens tricky. Playing it feels like a straightforward, sometimes challenging dash through the Old West from a mouse's perspective.
