Alpha Assault is one of those old-school Flash word games that somehow makes spelling feel like an actual battle. You've got this castle to defend, and these creepy letter tiles start creeping toward it—if they reach the walls, you're toast. The trick is to quickly string together words from the jumble of letters to blast the invaders before they get too close.

At first, I kept trying fancy vocab words, but turns out short, fast combos work way better when you're under pressure. The tiles speed up as you go, and before long, you're frantically tapping out "cat" and "dog" just to survive. It's simple, but weirdly intense once the screen starts filling up. If you miss a single tile, it's game over.
