Alien 3 on SNES is one of those licensed games that actually nails the atmosphere—dark, claustrophobic, and full of that classic '90s movie tie-in jank. You play as Ripley, stranded on Fury 161, and yeah, it’s exactly as bleak as you’d expect. The prison corridors are tight, the aliens pop out of vents when you least expect it, and the soundtrack? Pure eerie synth that makes every corner feel like a death trap.

At first, it feels like a standard run-and-gun, but then you realize you’ve got to rescue prisoners, set up motion detectors, and actually think before blasting—ammo’s scarce, and those facehuggers are fast. The controls take a minute to get used to (Ripley slides around like she’s on ice sometimes), but once it clicks, the tension is legit.
