Alien 3 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System came out in 1993, developed by Probe Software. You step into the boots of Ellen Ripley, the sole survivor of a crash landing on a desolate prison planet.

You control Ripley from a side view, moving screen by screen through the industrial corridors and ventilation shafts of the facility. Your main goal is to rescue the remaining survivors while systematically destroying the alien eggs scattered throughout the complex. The gameplay hinges on a few key actions: you use a pulse rifle and flamethrower to fight off different alien forms, you navigate hazardous environments often requiring precise jumps, and you activate terminals to unlock new areas. The pacing is tense and deliberate, as aliens can ambush you from almost anywhere, making ammo conservation and careful movement essential.
