Alice No Paint Adventure is one of those weird little SNES gems that never left Japan—probably because it needs the Super Famicom Mouse to really work. You’ve got two ways to play: either follow the story mode, which feels like a point-and-click adventure with Alice (yep, that Alice) wandering through trippy Wonderland scenes, or just mess around in paint mode where you can scribble all over the screen. The mouse controls are surprisingly smooth for an SNES game, though good luck finding one these days.
First time I booted it up, I spent way too long just doodling nonsense in paint mode before realizing the story actually has some charm—lots of weird little interactions and dialogue that make it feel like a lost children’s book. Definitely niche, but if you’re into oddball 90s Japan-only stuff, it’s a neat curiosity.
