Okay, so Alice No Paint Adventure on SNES is this weird little gem where you’re basically doodling your way through Wonderland. At first, I thought it was just another platformer, but then you realize half the puzzles involve splashing paint around to reveal hidden paths or change how objects behave. Like, that angry hedgehog won’t stop chasing you? Paint him pink and suddenly he’s too embarrassed to move.
The art style’s got that early ‘90s charm—bright, slightly janky, but full of personality. Some levels feel like they ran out of ideas (looking at you, endless teacup maze), but when it clicks, it’s oddly satisfying. Pro tip: hoard the blue paint. You’ll need it for the invisible platforms later, and running out mid-jump is the worst.
It’s not perfect, but if you’re into quirky retro stuff, this one’s worth dusting off the SNES for.
