About Aguri Suzuki F-1 Super Driving
Aguri Suzuki F-1 Super Driving came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed by Genki. It was part of that early wave of SNES racing games, arriving before the more polished polygonal racers took over. You don't see many people talk about it now, but it was there, a straightforward F-1 simulation for its time.
You control a single Formula 1 car from a first-person perspective, racing against a full grid on international circuits. The main goal is to qualify well and then win the Grand Prix. The game uses a split-screen view during races, showing your position relative to the car ahead and behind. You manage your fuel and tire wear, making pit stops a critical part of the strategy. The racing itself is methodical; you must brake early for corners and find a smooth racing line to maintain speed. It feels like a patient, technical exercise in car control rather than an arcade rush.
