So Aero the Acro-Bat is this weirdly charming SNES platformer where you play as a circus bat—yeah, a literal red bat in a leotard—who’s gotta save the big top from some villain named Edgar Ektor. It’s got that classic 90s platformer vibe: you’re bouncing off trampolines, swinging from trapezes, and tossing ninja stars (because why not?).
The controls are floaty in that way old-school platformers sometimes are, but once you get used to Aero’s weird aerial flips, it’s kinda satisfying to chain moves together. The circus theme gives it this chaotic energy—like one minute you’re dodging clowns on unicycles, the next you’re hopping across spinning plates. Not the deepest game ever, but it’s got personality.
Honestly, I picked it up expecting a generic mascot platformer and ended up weirdly into it. The music’s got that bouncy SNES charm too. If you dig oddball retro stuff, it’s a fun little time capsule.
