Remember Aero the Acro-Bat 2? That SNES game where you play as a circus bat who somehow became a superhero? Yeah, it's as weird and fun as it sounds. You'll spend most of your time bouncing off trampolines, gliding through loops, and trying not to faceplant into spikes—which happens way more than you'd think at first.
The controls take some getting used to—Aero has this floaty jump that either feels amazing or slightly infuriating depending on how badly you mistimed a landing. But once it clicks, chaining together flips and dives through those carnival-themed levels feels surprisingly satisfying. Just watch out for Edgar Ektor's goons; some of them are way more annoying than they look.
It's not the deepest platformer out there, but the sheer energy of it—the bright colors, the bouncy music, the sheer absurdity of a bat in a superhero cape—makes it hard to put down. If you're into 16-bit era oddities, this one's worth a revisit.
