If you grew up watching Rocky and Bullwinkle reruns like I did, this SNES game is a weird little nostalgia trip. You jump between playing as Rocky (who can glide, thank goodness) and Bullwinkle (who mostly just... walks into things). The levels are full of those goofy villains from the show—Boris and Natasha pop up constantly, and the art style nails that old-school cartoon look.
It’s not the tightest platformer out there—Bullwinkle controls like he’s had one too many mooseberry pies—but there’s something charming about how faithfully it captures the show’s humor. One minute you’re dodging exploding pies, the next you’re in a bizarre quiz segment where the narrator roasts you for wrong answers. It’s janky in that very ‘90s licensed game way, but if you’re here for the vibes, it delivers.
Just don’t expect it to hold up like Mario. This is pure Saturday morning cartoon chaos.
