So, The Addams Family on SNES—yeah, it's one of those licensed platformers from the '90s, but honestly? It's way better than it had any right to be. You play as Gomez, bouncing around the mansion (and beyond) trying to rescue the family from their sleazy lawyer. The controls are a little floaty at first, but once you get used to Gomez’s weird little jumps, it’s weirdly satisfying.
The levels are packed with that Addams charm—secret passages, weird traps, and even a few familiar faces popping up. Wednesday’s just standing there judging you in one room, which feels about right. The music’s got that gothic carnival vibe too, like someone remixed the movie’s theme for a haunted Super Nintendo.
It’s not Super Mario World, but if you’re into weird, slightly janky platformers with personality, this one’s a solid time. Just don’t expect the lawyer fight to be fair—nothing ever is with the Addams family.
