About Addams Family, The - Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt (beta)
I picked up a copy of The Addams Family: Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt for the Super Nintendo back in 1993. It was published by Ocean Software, a company known for a lot of licensed games from that period. This one was part of that wave of platformers based on cartoons, a pretty common sight on the SNES.
You control Pugsley Addams, navigating through the family mansion and its strange grounds. Your goal is to find all the items on a scavenger hunt list that Gomez has set up for you. The game is structured screen by screen, with you jumping across floating platforms, avoiding traps, and using a slingshot to hit switches or stun enemies. It's not an easy game; the platforming requires precise jumps, and some enemies respawn quickly. The whole experience feels like a race against the mansion itself, which is constantly trying to throw you off course.
