A.S.P. came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, published by ASCII Corporation. It was part of that wave of early 90s SNES games that experimented with mixing genres, in this case combining a top-down action game with flight simulator mechanics. You don't see many games that try to blend these two ideas so directly.

You control a single pilot in a futuristic attack helicopter, navigating through a series of hostile territories. Your main objective is to complete missions by destroying all enemy targets in an area, which often includes tanks, installations, and other aircraft. The game progresses screen by screen; you clear one section of enemies to advance to the next, which gives it a methodical pace. Combat involves managing your helicopter's altitude with the shoulder buttons while aiming and firing your main cannon at ground and air targets. The difficulty is persistent, demanding careful positioning to avoid return fire from the numerous anti-aircraft guns. Flying through these hazardous zones requires constant attention to your movement and aiming, creating a tense and focused experience.
