Yo! Joe! Beat the Ghosts is a platform arcade game released in 1993 for the MS-DOS platform. It was developed by Scipio and published by Hudson Soft Company, Ltd. The game is presented from a side view perspective and follows two graffiti artists, Joe and Nat, as they evade the police and find themselves in a mysterious castle.

Players control either Joe or Nat, with Joe being the default character for a single player. A second player can join in simultaneously on the same computer to control Nat. The characters can perform actions such as jumping, crawling, kicking, sliding, and swimming, and they can hold their breath underwater. The primary objective is to defeat the antagonist known as Professor X. To progress through the game's stages, players navigate platforming challenges and confront various opponents.

Combat is a central gameplay system, utilizing several weapons including molotov cocktails, chainsaws, and nunchakus to attack enemies. The game does not feature a save function, requiring completion in a single session. Additionally, the original disk is necessary to start the game due to its copy protection measures. Progression is linear, moving through levels that incorporate the characters' movement abilities and combat options to overcome obstacles and foes.
