Wings of Glory is a historical combat flight simulator released in 1995 for MS-DOS. Developed by ORIGIN Systems and published by Electronic Arts, the game is set during World War I, specifically in the year 1916. Players assume the role of a British Royal Flying Corps pilot, experiencing the conflict from a first-person cockpit perspective.

The core gameplay involves completing a series of missions based on historical aerial engagements. Before each sortie, players receive a briefing outlining objectives. Gameplay then centers on piloting an aircraft through all mission phases: taking off from an airfield, navigating to designated waypoints, engaging in combat or performing other tasks, and successfully returning to base to land. Players directly control their plane's flight and weapon systems. Primary armament consists of forward-firing machine guns, with some aircraft models also capable of carrying and dropping bombs. The simulation does not include radar or automated threat detection, requiring pilots to visually scan the skies for enemy aircraft.

Progression occurs through a campaign mode where pilots can interact with squadron mates and review combat records. Beyond the campaign, the game includes additional modes. A Gauntlet mode presents players with continuous waves of enemy aircraft, with the goal being survival for as long as possible. The software also features a mission designer, allowing players to create and fly custom scenarios using the game's mechanics and assets.
