Wings of Fury is a side-view action flight game set in World War II, released for MS-DOS in 1989. It was developed and published by Brøderbund Software. The player controls a fighter plane from an Allied aircraft carrier, with the objective of attacking Japanese military installations across a series of island targets.

Gameplay involves completing bombing runs against specific ground targets, including machine gun nests, barracks, and concrete bunkers. Different weapons are required for different structures; standard bombs are used against most buildings, while rockets are needed to destroy fortified bunkers. After a bombing pass, the player can often return to strafe surviving infantry with machine gun fire. Missions also include secondary objectives such as engaging in dogfights with enemy fighter planes and using torpedoes to sink Japanese battleships. Progression is mission-based, beginning with a takeoff from the player's aircraft carrier, which must itself be defended from enemy torpedo plane attacks. Managing resources is a key system, as the player must periodically return to the carrier to replenish fuel, ammunition, and bombs, as well as to repair aircraft damage.

The structure requires balancing offensive sorties with defensive returns to the carrier for resupply. A later Game Boy Color version of the game altered some content, replacing strafing runs against soldiers with attacks on vehicles like jeeps and trucks, and it omitted certain enemy units and a first-person view window. That version added new plane maneuvers such as a barrel roll and introduced a post-mission review of ammunition consumption, where using less than the allocated ammunition awards bonus points.
