Wembley Rugby League is a sports video game released in 1996 for the MS-DOS platform. Developed by Dentons and published by Audiogenic Software Ltd., it simulates the sport of rugby league, a variant of rugby football. The game presents its matches from a third-person perspective, offering players a digital interpretation of the professional league sport.

Players control a team of thirteen athletes, directing their movements and actions during a match. The primary objective is to outscore the opposing team by carrying the ball over the try line or kicking it through the goalposts. A key rule involves possession, as a team must surrender the ball after being tackled six consecutive times, which often leads to strategic plays on the final tackle. Gameplay systems include passing, which is executed by pressing a button and directing the throw, and kicking, performed by holding the same button. Defensive play involves aiming at the ball carrier to execute a tackle, with an option to dive if needed. For set-piece kicks, players time their button presses to stop a moving crosshair and determine the kick's direction and angle.

The game offers two distinct camera views: an overhead perspective similar to other sports titles of the era and a forced-perspective three-dimensional view. An on-screen scanner displays the positions of teammates, aiding in spatial awareness during play. Match progression follows standard rugby league rules, where scrums replace line-outs when the ball goes out of play laterally, and play restarts after a tackle with a "play-the-ball" action, where the tackled player rolls the ball backward to a teammate while both teams remain on their respective sides of the ball.
