Vector The Crocodile In Sonic The Hedgehog Game

Okay, so Vector the Crocodile in Sonic the Hedgehog is one of those weird, obscure Sega Genesis hacks that somehow works better than it should. You're playing as Vector—yes, the crocodile from Sonic—but plopped right into the original Sonic 1 levels. It's janky in that classic ROM-hack way, but weirdly fun once you get used to his weird hitbox and slightly off physics.
At first, I thought it was just a lazy sprite swap, but Vector actually moves differently—he’s heavier, slides more, and his jumps feel like you’re throwing a brick. Green Hill Zone becomes this weird challenge where you keep overshooting platforms because he doesn’t stop on a dime like Sonic. It’s not polished, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about bulldozing through badniks as this chunky croc.
If you’re into old-school Sonic mods, this one’s a fun little curiosity. Just don’t expect it to play like the real thing.
