Universe is a science fiction adventure game released in 1994 for MS-DOS. Developed and published by Core Design Ltd., it is a point and click adventure presented from a third-person perspective. The game incorporates puzzle elements within a futuristic setting.

The player controls Boris Verne, an ordinary man transported to a parallel universe by his uncle's experimental device, the Virtual Dimension Inducer. The primary objectives are to locate a legendary lost star and discover a method to confront the antagonist known as the Golden King. Progression is structured through navigating static screens, interacting with the environment, and collecting items to solve logic-based puzzles that advance the narrative. A key gameplay system involves using a rotoscoped animation technique for character movement, which is combined with a detailed 256-color graphical presentation.

Interaction is managed entirely through a mouse-driven point and click interface, typical of the genre from that period. Players examine locations, combine inventory objects, and engage with non-player characters to gather clues.
