Tower of Souls is a fantasy role-playing game released in 1995 for MS-DOS. Developed by Parys Technografx and published by Black Legend Ltd, the game is presented from a third-person isometric perspective. The story is set in the land of Chaybore, where the well-being of its citizens depends on seven crystals. These crystals have been stolen by the demon Baalhathrok, and the player takes on the role of a character named Treeac with the objective of retrieving them.

Players control Treeac through a series of seven floors within Baalhathrok's tower. Movement is directed by clicking with the mouse, while combat is initiated by left-clicking on enemies. A context-sensitive action system is used for other interactions, requiring the player to hold the right mouse button and select from a set of symbols displayed at the bottom of the screen. Progression involves navigating dungeon rooms, solving environmental puzzles such as locating keys, pressing buttons in sequence, or using lockpicks. Using a lockpick triggers a mini-game where the player must perform specific mouse movements to succeed.

Exploration of the tower yields various items including potions, herbs, and magical equipment. The herbs can be combined to create potions or spells, which are organized into four functional categories: attacking, defending, transforming, and item manipulation. The game does not allow saving at any point; instead, players must use specific save points found during the adventure. Each use of a save point requires the player to permanently sacrifice one piece of equipment from their inventory.
