Remember those old Flash games that just got the cartoon they were based on? This PowerPuff Girls one nails it—you’re smashing through waves of Mojo Jojo’s ridiculous Puppybots (because of course he’d turn puppies into robots) with Buttercup, Blossom, or Bubbles. Each girl’s got her own attack style, and swapping between them mid-fight actually matters when you’re swarmed.

Controls are dead simple: arrows to move, space to punch/kick/whatever, and X to cycle characters. The first time I played, I just mashed buttons as Buttercup, but later levels force you to think—Bubbles’ ranged attacks save you when the screen’s packed with bots. Also, the puppy rescue animations between levels? Weirdly adorable for a game about punching metal dogs.

It’s short, chaotic, and exactly what you’d want from a 2000s cartoon tie-in. Townsville never stood a chance.
